Business In Port Colborne
“Where Business and Lifestyle
are a Perfect Match”
On behalf of members of City Council and the Citizens of our community, may I extend a warm welcome to the City of Port Colborne.
The City of Port Colborne, within the beautiful Niagara Region, has become an investment destination - where water meets road, rail and air enabling investment to reach their business targets.
Our city is proud to extend investment opportunities that continue to take advantage of available waterfront lands, market location and readily available methods of transporting goods globally.
The City of Port Colborne is a Gateway, geographically located through which significant incoming and outgoing transport flows are distributed by means of transfer and transshipment.
Situated at a point of entry, the City of Port Colborne brings together intermodal transport connections, through which trade passes and is dispatched around the continent by a variety of transportation modes.
We have the ability to facilitate the fast and efficient movement of goods and people.
Through new partnership arrangements within both the public and private sector, the City of Port Colborne is participating in fabricated metals/oilsands activities, Niagara industrial activities, east-west trade/oilsands activities, transportation/ distribution/logistics activities, co-op advertising/marketing and contribute additional resources to marketing the city’s "Carbohydrate Valley" bio-cluster, building upon both Casco and Jungbunzlauer as well as companies who add synergies to this particular market such as ADM Milling and Goderich Elevators.
These particular investments will highlight current niche markets that continue to rapidly grow within the City of Port Colborne such as fabricated metals/oilsands activities, distribution/logistics activities, food processing and bio-business/agrifood innovation.
Our community’s business districts are vibrant due to a secured confidence to do business in a community that breathes excitement through activity and lifestyle. Our events and festivals showcase an energized city that boasts miles and miles of white sandy beaches, the historic Welland Ship Canal, live theatre, world class boating, fishing and golfing, unique gift shops and dining experiences.
Experience Port Colborne – Experience what you
expect life to offer on Ontario’s South Coast.
